Following the success of winning 3 Asia Pacific Region Gold Awards in Australia last July 2010, Celcom Axiata Customer Service team represented Asia Pacific to the World Finals held in Las Vegas USA from 2nd to 5th November 2010.
Hosted by ContactCenterWorld.com, the 5th Annual Top Performers Contact Center World Industry Awards 2010 is dubbed as the Olympics for Contact Centre professionals. The World Finals saw participation from regional champions of respective category which include China Mobile (China), ING Direct (Canada), Novia Finland Oy (Finland), New York Life (USA), Qtel (Qatar), SoftBank BB Corporation (Japan), Teleperformance Portugal (Portugal), Virgin Mobile (Canada), Whirlpool Corporation (USA) and many more.
Celcom Customer Service team did the nation proud as they successfully brought home the following awards :
  • Gold Award for Best Help Desk
  • Gold Award for Best Contact Centre
  • Silver Award for Best Contact Centre Support Professional
CCAM would like to congratulate Celcom for being the first Malaysian company to have won 2 Gold Awards at the prestigious event.

Congratulations to SRG Asia Pacific Sdn Bhd.

The Asia Pacific Contact Center Association Leaders Expo 2010 was held in Nikko Hotel & Resort Bali, Indonesia on 20th and 21st October 2010. The event is hosted by Indonesia Contact Center Association (ICCA) and managed by staff of Telexindo.

CCAM President, Ir Nirinder Singh Johl gave an opening speech as the APCCAL Chairman 2010 followed by Guest of Honour, Muhammad Budi Setiawan, Directorate General of Post & Telecommunication, on behalf of Ministry of Communication and Information Republic Indonesia. There were about 200 participants from APCCAL member countries such as Malaysia, Hong Kong, etc. attended the 2-day Conference. The gala dinner was held in a 800m² pillarless ballroom with private entrance in Graha Sawangan Ballroom.

Congratulations to Mr Byron J. Fernandez, General Manager of SRG Asia Pacific Sdn Bhd represented Malaysia speaking at the Technology Innovation track and competed with other contestants from Indonesia, China and Australia. He won two Awards titled: -

Award 1:

For Technology Innovation:

“Asia Pacific Contact Centre Association Leaders Expo 2010, The Best Technology Innovation”.

Award 2:

For Operations:

“Asia Pacific Contact Centre Centre Association Leaders Expo 2010, Outstanding Performance”.

Kudos to Celcom Axiata on Winning 3 Gold Awards at the Contact Centre Industry Awards – Asia Pacific Region

Kudos to the Celcom Customer Service Team! With customer centricity at the core of everything, Celcom Customer Service team bagged 3 Gold and 1 Silver beating organisations from countries such as Japan, India, Australia, China, Singapore , Indonesia and Thailand in the recent Contact Centre World Awards for Top Ranking Performers which was held in Gold Coast, Australia.

Although this is a first attempt for Celcom Axiata, they have won awards for all 4 categories contested. In addition, they also won the most number of Gold Awards in the competition. And the journey doesn’t stop here – the next challenge for the  Celcom Customer Service team is to represent the Asia Pacific region at the World Finals that will be held in Las Vegas, USA in November.

The Celcom team came out triumphant to clinch the awards, spearheaded by Ms Chew Su Fong, Head of Celcom Customer Service. They faced stiff competition from other notable giants in their industry such as Japan’s Softbank Mobile & Fujitsu, Commonwealth Bank of Australia, St. George Bank, China Mobile, CITIC Bank from China and Singapore NTUC Income Insurance Co-Operative Limited, amongst many others.
